Our commitments
Our approach
To restore is already to choose to last
Bringing a six-century-old house back to life rather than building anew was a first choice. We wanted to take it further: for Kermarquer to work with its surroundings, consume little, and leave as light a footprint as possible.

Local roots
A restoration made here
Every craftsperson who restored the manor comes from the surrounding area. Their skills live in every stone reset, every beam preserved, every room brought back to life.
Giving work to those who live here is also a way of making the house endure.

Energy
Heated by the earth
The manor is heated by geothermal energy: the steady warmth of the ground replaces fossil fuels.
The insulation was entirely redone during the works. The building is now thermally efficient and frugal with electricity, with no sacrifice in comfort.
Mobility
Arrive electric
Three electric vehicle charging points are at your disposal in the estate’s private car park.
Day to day
Sorting, composting
Recycling is in place throughout the house, and we ask our guests to follow it. A compost bin is available for kitchen waste.
